What are crystals?

Crystals are minerals formed underground from three-dimensional repeating patterns of atoms. A crystal's appearance depends upon the natural characteristics of its type and the conditions in which it grows. Some take on strange shapes, some are very small and others grow very large, developing over thousands of years.

What are Crystals for?

Different crystals have different energies and properties, and between them can affect mental, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of ourselves. Simply holding the right crystal at the right time can bring about a change in our attitude and well-being.

The right crystal can affect the energy of an environment, the energy it holds can influence you whether you simply hold it in your hand or place it by your bed or on the mantelpiece.

Our crystals are 100% real, with the highest quality ranging from AAA – A grade. Every crystal is natural from the Earth, we do not sell heat treated or dyed stones. All of the forms/shapes we offer are manually filed and hand polished.

Where are Niiyii Crystals sourced?

Each and every NiiYii crystal is intuitively chosen whilst originating from multiple countries across the global ranging from Brazil, USA, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and so on. We only work with small scale mines (often family run) that are passionate about the health of the earth and quality of life for their staff. We maintain direct contact with mines and individual miners that share our love for semi-precious stones.

How do I choose the right crystal?

Always go with what you are drawn to, trust your intuition and it will not let you down when choosing your crystal. Something as simple as liking the colour of a crystal could lead you to finding the crystal you needed.

It is also a good idea to choose a crystal based on its beneficial properties. Some like to make a choice by corresponding with the Chakra they want to open/balance.

What should I do when I receive my crystal?

You should always cleanse any new crystals you get to clear away any old or negative energy and start afresh. If you use them for healing or meditation or guidance, cleanse before and after. Use your intuition to choose a cleansing method – whatever feels right for you and the crystal you want to cleanse.

How do I cleanse my crystal?

Moonlight: Simply leave your crystals overnight outside under the moonlight, preferably a full moon. This is the safest method and suitable for all crystals and crystal jewellery. This method is more effective when paired with our selenite!

Other crystals: Some crystals are good at cleansing other crystals. Choose amethyst, clear quartz, rose quartz, carnelian or our favourite selenite that are bigger than or can hold the crystal you want cleansed. Crystal geodes or clusters are great for this.

Earth cleansing: Bury your crystals in the earth (either outside or in a pot plant). Leave for two or three days and then uncover.

Smudge: You can smudge crystals using Sage or Palo Wood, simply hold it while you smudge around all sides of the crystal.
