How many bundles of hair do I need?

Unfortunately, there is no generic answer to this question as this will depend on the style, length of hair and look you are going for. 

We offer guidance on this in the additional information section of each hair weft.  As a general rule, for medium fullness leave out weave;

2 bundles for lengths 8”-14”,

3 bundles for lengths 16”-20” 

4 bundles for lengths 22”+

Can I straighten and colour this hair?

Just like your natural hair, you can curl & straighten our hair using ceramic straighteners.  Certain hair types, such as our curly hair, we recommend that they are not straightened frequently as this will loosen the curl pattern.

Our hair extensions can be dyed,  however we recommend that this is done by a qualified stylist.  To get the most out of our hair we recommend that it is left in its natural state and colour.

Just like your own natural hair, hair extensions are also susceptible to heat damage and loss of curl pattern with excessive heat and colour.

If you take care of them and follow all of our maintenance tips (here), you will significantly increase the lifespan of these extensions.

How long will this hair last?

The answer to this question will depend on how you maintain and care for your hair extensions.

Can hair extensions damage my real hair?

The biggest issue with hair extensions is not the actual extensions but how these are fitted by the stylist and cared for by yourself. 

Having been in this industry for over 30 years we have seen hundreds of horror stories, which is why it is extremely important that you ensure your hair extensions are fitted by an experienced stylist. 

Timely salon visits for maintenance and treatment will ensure that your own natural hair is cared for.  Ironically, correct application and wear of hair extensions will actually limit damage to your own hair from heat and chemicals as the extensions will take the brunt of this.

How long does it take to apply these extensions?

The answer to this question will depend on the look you are going for and consequently how many extensions it will take to achieve that look.

As a general rule, Clip-in hair extensions are the “safest” and fastest form of extensions for your hair, roughly taking 10-20 minutes to apply.  They are only worn for a few hours at a time or as needed and removed before taking a shower or going to bed.

Weft extensions, Tracks can take 20 minutes per line, weave with leave out 2-3 hours, full weave with closure 3hrs. 

All of these times are dependant to the skill and experience of the stylist performing them.

Yes, of course, you can go swimming and exercise with hair extensions on.
